Please Pray for Zhenya and Nadya in Russia
Zhenya, 15, is in the 8th grade and Nadya, 15, is in the 10th grade. Both teens have lost their father and mother either through death or alcoholism. Zhenya enjoys playing sports and singing songs, while Nadya likes to draw and spend time with the younger children. They both have high aspirations after graduation and want to attend the University to be an attorney and doctor.
Zhenya and Nadya are just two girls at Nikolsky, near St. Petersburg, who are being equipped through Orphan Outreach's evangelistic ministry. As a result, they are encouraged to persevere and pursue a future that might not have been possible given their difficult past and circumstances.
Many children who come through the orphanage system are often lost and afraid with little to no direction on who they are and who they want to be. There are many factors that confound a child into thinking no one cares for them and that they have no purpose or hope in life. That is why Orphan Outreach values the importance of sharing the Gospel to these children through God's Word that speaks truth and love. Weekly Bible studies are held every Thursday. The children have been very receptive to the Bible studies and anxiously await it each week. They also enjoy the relationships that are built with the OO staff and volunteers from the local church. They learn from the Scriptures that
somebody loves and cares for them. They are being restored and given an identity in Christ.
