Please Pray for Dilmaya in India.
Dilmaya is a Nepali girl from the Red Light Area (RLA) of India. Her father died of AIDS and her mother left her with another Nepali brothel madam, who took her to Santvana Home in Pune.
When she came to Santvana, the staff did not know her age but estimated 9 years. They also gave her March 14th as her date of birth.
Dilmaya only knew how to converse in Nepali, but since she has been at the home she has learned Hindi and Marathi. She is a quick learner and has already learned all the English alphabets and numbers up to 100, which is amazing. Dilmaya gets along very well with the staff and children. Although she is very quiet, she can also turn into a little rascal when she wants to. Once again the Lord has His hand on this precious girl.
We praise God for Dilmaya’s life and for bringing her to Santvana, where she is receiving residential care, a quality education, and love and attention that she otherwise would not have received in the RLA.
Pray for Dilmaya and the other children at Santvana, many of whom come from situations where AIDS and HIV have affected the family. Pray for Santvana as they renovate and expand their ministry in order to serve more children.
