PRAISES

Praise God for the awesome, successful launch of Women for Orphans Worldwide (WOW), a new women's auxiliary for Orphan Outreach. The WOW group hosted a luncheon on December 1st for over 130 women to let them know about this new auxiliary. At the luncheon they met their goal of raising enough money for school supplies, uniforms, and tuition for all of the children at Mama Carmen's orphanage in Guatemala! PRAYER REQUESTS

Guatemala
The children at Good Shepherd Baptist School finished their school year and are on vacation until January. Please pray that we will raise enough money to buy school supplies for the 200 children who will be attending school next year. Also pray that we will be able to raise the support to sponsor more children.

On December 11th we will be delivering 500 Christmas gifts to the children at Mrs. Arzu's school in Guatemala City. These children also finished their school year and will be having their school party on Friday, when we deliver the Christmas presents. Pray that the love of Jesus would be evident through these gifts.


Honduras
Please pray for the team of nine individuals who will be traveling to Tegucigalpa this Sunday. They will be serving at AFE School and at the dump. The goal of this trip is to share God's love with the 135 children and 12 staff members at AFE. The team will be teaching at the school every day, feeding the poor, hosting a medical clinic, throwing a Christmas party for students on Friday, and taking the teachers to a state park. Pray that they would reflect the love of Christ to every child and that they would be an encouragement to the teachers and staff. Pray that God would be glorified in everything they do.

Also pray for the safety of the team as they travel in the midst of the political situation as the country transitions into new presidential leadership.


Russia
As Christmas is approaching, Orphan Outreach staff in Russia are preparing for Christmas programs for several orphanages. The program runs from December 14 to 21. Pray that the children would experience the love of Jesus and come to know Him. Pray for their health as many of them are sick with the flu. Also pray for patience and endurance for the staff.

Ten people from the Christian theatre group have offered to provide a special program in the orphanages during Christmas. Pray for receptiveness to the message that is communicated to the children through this program and that they would enjoy this special time.

Individual's Mission Trip to St. Petersburg, April 14-27, 2010:
Join us in serving orphaned children in Russia. This team will visit several different orphanages to minister to the precious children Jesus loves so much. You will have opportunities to teach them Bible stories, make crafts, play games, and show them unconditional love. This trip will open your eyes to so many new things and you will be able to see God working in amazing ways on the opposite side of the world!


Summer Internship
Please be in prayer for the 2010 summer internship. Pray for God to raise up young people to serve Him through fulfilling His mandate to love and care for orphans. Diego
in Guatemala

Diego David Chajchaj Tacaxoy is one of the children Orphan Outreach supports at Good Shepherd Baptist School in Santiago, Guatemala. Diego is five years old and enjoys playing with toy cars, balls and riding his bicycle. His father works in agricultre and his mother embroiders. Even at such a young age, Diego aspires to become a pastor.

It is evident the impact Pastor Diego Tzina has had on the children, families and community of Panabaj and Santiago through his ministry at the Good Shepherd church and school. We pray that God would begin to equip little Diego with the passion and skills to lead his own family and community.

Orphan Outreach currently sponsors thirty children, but there is a huge need for more sponsors for other children who cannot afford to go to school. Most families are unable to pay tuition due to the poor economy. For $30 a month, you can help a child receive a quality, Christian education by providing the basic needs of school supplies, uniforms, and tuition.
